We had an absolutely marvelous time – and thank you very much for your large part in this. Every day was packed with the most beautiful scenery we could wish for and our well-planned itinerary meant that no time was wasted – though we didn’t feel rushed. In fact, while seeing and doing so much we also felt completely relaxed and quite blessed to be there in such glorious settings. The weather was great and we had the good luck to see quite a lot of wild life – 3 bears at different times, coyotes, mountain sheep, deer and hoary marmots. We love Canada! We had to wait several hours to check in at the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver and as we were really tired, my husband especially, this was disheartening. We had actually paid for the previous night (and then canceled), so, considering that our flight arrival time was known to you, it would have been good if the room could have been held for us for immediate check-in. Also, the hotel said they only had us booked in for one night. They sorted it out and we were okay, but it caused a bit of stress. I’ve had much experience with sloppy hotel bookings so I suspect that this fault is theirs and not yours. After that though, everything went very smoothly and I must say I am so impressed with the way you organized it all. Thank you very much. We will be in touch again I’m sure, to see more of Canada, and Alaska too.

The trip was phenomenal

All of the planning and preparation that you so patiently helped us with certainly paid off. Everything went off without a hitch and we thoroughly enjoyed both Montreal and Quebec city. An amazing trip

I talked to the girls and all agree the absolute highlight of the trip was the Emerald Lake. The beauty, quiet and options were outstanding. I talked to the girls and all agree the absolute highlight of the trip was the Emerald Lake. The beauty, quiet and options were outstanding. We all went our separate ways for hikes on the one full day we spent there. The lake was amazing and the views were breathtaking and it was worth the effort. We only saw one other person on the trail in nearly 7 hours of hiking and I was very grateful for the hot tub when we got back. The guided hike to Stanley Glacier was also outstanding. Our guide was great and we had a chance to meet some great folks from the UK and Australia. Our kids hiked across the glacial bowl and filled up water bottles from the waterfall coming off the glacier, so we could all sample some, and we all had a chance to wade in the stream flowing off the moraine to cool our feet on the way back down. On the way from Jasper back to Calgary, the kids opted to go white water rafting in Field on the Kicking Horse, and really enjoyed themselves. The day trip we took to Whistler was spectacular. Several folks have asked about the trip, and I have given you and your team my highest recommendation. Thank you once again for setting up an amazing trip, and creating memories that our family will cherish for a lifetime.

My husband and I wanted to go somewhere different, somewhere natural and unspoilt, where we could explore and journey and not be constantly fed the commercial fare of the standard tourist locations. We found the perfect venue for our travels. Newfoundland is beautiful and very natural. A visit to this part of Canada is bound to be an adventure. If you yearn for open space, clean, fresh air, a rugged landscape and the opportunity to experience life as it is lived in isolated communities that are steeped in history, this is the place! This is a very special place and one we will never forget. In short, if you like Fresh Tracks adventures you will like Newfoundland. Don’t just take my word for it, get out there and experience it for yourself. And thank you Fresh Tracks for a fabulous trip!

It was a success

The trip was just amazing. I travelled with the oldest and youngest participants – husband 82 and grandson 10 – and both enjoyed it and took between the two of them about 400 photographs. The guides, staff and all the people looking after us were knowledgeable, friendly and fun to be with. It was a success.
