We have had a most memorable celebration of our 60th anniversary, and certainly much of the credit goes to you. Janet was unaware of my plans after we left Spokane. The staff at the hotel was well aware of the significance of our stay, an indication of your thoughtfulness. The concierge made arrangements for us to be picked up early in the morning of June 26th so I did not have to tell the driver where to take us. Janet was thrilled when she saw the bright orange brick Rocky Mountaineer building. As we entered the building, and heard the pianist playing on the grand piano, with the sound reverberating throughout, and experienced the warm greeting of those meeting us. I knew we were in for something very special. When we gave our names to the person registering us, she greeted us with “Happy Anniversary!” During registration, a senior member of staff came to greet us, and asked us if we would like to blow the horn before departure. We were then escorted outside the building where we jointly practiced the foot pedal procedure on how to blow the portable horn. At exactly 7:20, the senior member in charge of registration and boarding asked all 600+ guests to come forward and with microphone in hand announced that it was our 60th anniversary and that we would blow the horn to signify that it was time to board the train….quite an honor. The entire trip on the train was glorious! The scenery was spectacular, the food excellent, and the staff well trained and friendly. You can be assured that we will recommend Fresh Tracks to any and all that wish to enjoy some of the world’s most magnificent scenery. The lodges were very nice. I am wondering if you pulled some strings with the hotel in Banff, even though I made those reservations on my own, it surprised me we received such exceptional treatment.  Our room on the Gold Level 5th floor, had the best view of the Bow river, the falls and valley of any room on that floor.  And the bottle of champagne and chocolate strawberries were in our room on arrival.  Several special desserts were prepared in our honor during our 4 day stay. You have provided us with memories that will last our lifetime. I am a big fan of Fresh Tracks and we will likely be in touch with you for a Trans Canadian trip someday. Thank you for your special interest and exceptional service.

The trip was great, the printed itinerary was extraordinarily helpful in ensuring we got to the right place at the right time. The wedding anniversary event at the Bonaparte was very nice and the meal and service were terrific. Thanks! Thanks again for putting all of this together. It made the trip so much more relaxed – as we knew all of our travel and accommodations had been taken care of. I’m not sure we will be taking the Western Rockies next year – I may have had all the railway sleeping car I need for a while – but, if so, we will most certainly call upon your services and recommend you to friends and associates who are considering rail travel expeditions in Canada.

We are, somewhat sadly, home again but with an extensive library of very fond memories of an absolutely fantastic holiday. The scenery in Canada was, without exception, stunning in very place that we visited. Whistler and Anchorage and the cruise back to Vancouver were just awesome. Lake Louise was still frozen and presented us with a spectacle that we had never seen or ever thought we would see. Scenery aside, the arrangements that you put in place for us worked perfectly and to the minute. This added a degree of polish and comfort to our itinerary that enabled us to completely relax with confidence that our transport, transfers and accommodation were all in place. We are very deeply indebted to you for the work that you put in and for your contribution to making the experience our holiday of a lifetime. The hotels also provided first class service and facilities. We have been thinking ahead and we are very keen to return to Canada, but this time to the eastern seaboard. If we do decide on a holiday, we would without hesitation contact Fresh Tracks to do all our bookings. The service that you offered was faultless and we have strongly commended Fresh Tracks to all the people we have met in all our recent travels.

The trip was fantastic. I was so impressed with how organized everything was and how smoothly it ran. The guides were so knowledgeable and helpful. The hotels were first rate and the staff was very  pleasant. We had one issue at Hotel Lake Louise.  They put my sister-in-law and I in a room with one bed rather than two beds. A hotel staff tried very hard to find us a room with 2 beds but none were available. They sent a bottle of wine to our room and paid for breakfast the next day. Their efforts were appreciated. All in all the trip was above our expectations.  I will definitely recommend Fresh Tracks to anyone wanting to take a trip to Canada. I hope to return to Canada in the near future to see more of this beautiful country. Thank you so much for making this trip one I’ll remember for the rest of my life.
